The challenge
The operator was seeing recurring rod and pump failures across a mature waterflood, with each failure handled as an isolated call-out. Nobody was analysing what came out of the hole, so the same wells kept failing the same way.
Our approach
We assigned a continuous crew to the field, introduced failure analysis on every string pulled, and built a per-well maintenance history. Wells with recurring failures were reviewed for artificial lift sizing rather than simply repaired again.
The outcome
Repeat failures on the worst-performing wells were reduced through lift re-sizing, and the field gained a documented maintenance history that now drives its intervention planning.
