Rig moves are where schedules quietly disappear and where a disproportionate share of the industry's serious incidents happen. Both facts respond to the same thing: planning.
Century Solutions plans and executes rig mobilization and demobilization across our operating areas, covering everything between releasing the rig on one location and spudding on the next.
A move is planned as a project. Route surveys identify the bridges, overhead lines, turn radii and permit jurisdictions along the way. Load lists are built and weighed rather than estimated. Lift plans are engineered, permits are secured ahead of the move date, and the sequence is briefed to every crew and haulier before the first load leaves.
The result is a move that happens on the day it was scheduled, without a load turned back at a county line and without a lift improvised at dusk because the crane was the wrong size.

Route survey and permitting
Physical route assessment, height and weight clearance verification, and state, county and utility permit acquisition ahead of the move window.

Heavy haul coordination
Load list development, trucking contractor management, escort scheduling and load sequencing to keep rig-up progressing as equipment arrives.

Rig-up and rig-down
Supervised assembly and disassembly of the rig package, including substructure, mast raising and lowering, and pressure-control equipment handling.

Lift planning
Engineered lift plans, crane selection and sizing, rigging inspection and exclusion-zone control for every critical lift.

Pad and location readiness
Verification that the receiving location, anchors, cellar and access road are ready before equipment arrives rather than after.

Move supervision and reporting
A single move coordinator accountable for the sequence, with daily progress reporting against the move schedule.
Permitting is usually the constraint. For a routine in-basin move, two to three weeks is comfortable. Long-haul or oversize moves crossing multiple jurisdictions need longer, and we will tell you how much when we see the route.
Yes. Rig moving is offered as a standalone scope for operators and for other drilling contractors.
